Scope of Work: The Commission intends to replace a set of three expansion joints which were determined to require replacement during routine inspections of structures owned and maintained by the Commission. The expansion joints are located on the elevated structure adjacent to the departure level of the terminal. An approximate total of 146 LF of expansion joints are to be replaced. Two expansion joints (âAâ and âBâ) are approximately 57 LF in length, and the third (âCâ) is approximately 32 feet in length. The project will involve removing the expansion joints and cleaning and repairing the underlying concrete. Expansion joints âAâ and âBâ involve an in-kind replacement of the existing expansion joint. Expansion joint âCâ involves removal of the existing expansion joint, placement of elastomeric cementitious concrete material, and installation of an elastomeric epoxy-based expansion joint.
