REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL # 2024-038

Group Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage

The City of Salem, Virginia is seeking sealed proposals from qualified sources to establish a Contract to provide administration of the group medical and prescription drug program and provide reinsurance for this program for the City of Salem and Salem City Schools active employees, eligible retirees, and their dependents, in accordance to Request for Proposal (RFP) # 2024-038.

Sealed proposals will be accepted in the City of Salem Purchasing Department, located at 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia 24153, on or before 3:00 p.m., on April 18, 2024, at which time the proposals will be opened. Proposal information may be obtained by calling 540-375-3063 or emailing lmbraxton@salemva.gov .

The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any or all informalities or irregularities in any proposal. The City reserves the right to award as it deems in the best interest of the City of Salem.

No proposal may be withdrawn after opening except for clerical errors, as set forth in Section 2.2-4330 of the Virginia Code. Offeror must give the City a notice in writing of the request to withdraw a proposal within two (2) business days after conclusion of opening.
