  • Summary:The Virginia Department of Forestry is seeking a contractor to perform treatments on invasive wavyleaf grass (Oplismenus undulatifolius) through foliar application with backpack sprayers at Conway Robinson State Forest in Gainesville, VA. See attached maps for exact locations.
The work consists of successfully identifying and treating patches of wavyleaf grass within an approximately 6 acre transect. Wherever wavyleaf is found, it shall be treated and surveys for additional plants in the adjacent forest within 10 meters of the location should occur. This may require treatment outside of the originally marked transect. Two treatments will be required, separated by at least 4 weeks. One treatment should occur in June and the second treatment should occur in July. All work must be completed by July 31.
