    • I1_1. The City of Galax, is seeking sealed bids from licensed and qualified general contractors for turnkey interior and exterior renovations to the building at 406 W. Oldtown St, Galax VA 24333. The project shall consist of the Installation of new HVAC/ Electrical/Plumbing services to support the renovated business function as well as a new kitchen.

      Sealed bids will be accepted at City of Galax Municipal Building 111 East Grayson Street Galax VA Attn: Jolena Young until 1:00 p.m. on 05/11/2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Any bids received after the specified opening time will not be accepted.

      A pre-bid meeting will be conducted onsite at 406 W Oldtown St, Galax VA, at 10:00am on 04/25/23.

      Plans and other documents shall be obtained by Bidders from the office of WM2A Architects, 408 B N. Main Hillsville VA. Yancey Powers Project Architect (478)745-4945. Electronic Copies will be distributed as requested.

      Davis Bacon Wage will apply. Rates Minority and/or female owned businesses or firms and Section 3 businesses or firms are encouraged to apply. The City of Galax is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
