Summary:Sealed bids for demolition related to the Riverdale Acquisition Project will be received by the Town of South Boston located at 455 Ferry Street, South Boston, VA 24592, until 4:00 p.m. local time on November 13, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. This project is funded with Federal funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and with State funds from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (FEMADR-
4401-VA-013). The principal work to be performed under this contract consists of, but is not limited to, the following improvements within the eight (8) identified Operable Units (OU): demolish and remove the structures and associated concrete and asphalt detailed in each of the eight (8) OUs. The OUs are in a flood plain; therefore, they are each treated as a separate project. No waste can be stockpiled prior to removal offsite, and waste cannot be intermingled
between OUs.
