- Summary:The City of Chesapeake is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to establish an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract to provide Tire Retreading and Related Services for the City Garage. The City of Chesapeake Central Fleet is responsible for performing maintenance for a fleet of approximately 2000 units. The Fleet is composed of cars, light trucks, medium-duty trucks and heavy-duty trucks that are serviced on a regular basis. As part of this service for our medium and heavy-duty vehicles, we require regular tire service, to include replacement or repair tread (“retreading”), and sectional repairs including repair of beads, tread area, and sidewalls. It is our goal to minimize downtime by employing a contractor to manage the repair of tires.
