  • Summary:The Giles County Board of Supervisors is soliciting qualifications and proposals for civil engineering services to assist in the design of a trail system extending from the new Trail Center at Mountain Lake to Bald Knob and the Appalachian Trail, in association with a $500,000 Federal Lands Access Program grant. The project will consist of 2.5 miles of trail construction, 1,200 liner feet of sidewalk, parking area, and trail signage design. The design services will include surveying, stormwater evaluation and design, pavement design, permitting, construction monitoring, and coordination with landowner and the Department of Transportation.
