  • Summary:Gloucester County operates a 2 mgd drinking water treatment plant near Beaverdam Reservoir, and is responsible for the Spillway Tower and outfall in the reservoir. The County was advised by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) new regulations would impact their permitted discharges, which required the County to take action to not be in violation of the new regulations. With some minor modifications to existing infrastructure and the installation of new technologies, Gloucester County will have the operational flexibility to effectively and safely meet environmental standards. Under one prime contract, Gloucester County is seeking bids from qualified firm(s) experienced with the below-grade and underwater work required for this project.
