The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit through competitive negotiation for Annual Archaeological Services for James City County. This Sealed Request for Proposals is issued by James City County to obtain proposals for an open-ended as needed based contract(s) with qualified and experienced firm(s) to provide archaeological services and investigations to ensure that James City County and its environs meet regulatory obligations and does not accidentally damage significant historic and/or archaeological sites and artifacts. The Contract services shall be performed on an “as needed” basis for specific projects as assigned with Contract Task Orders to commence on January 14, 2024, through January 13, 2025, for an initial period of one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. All vendors shall be properly licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
