The City of Williamsburg, Virginia will receive sealed Bids for the above titled project at the office of the Director of Public Works, located at 401 Lafayette Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185 until 2:00 p.m. local time on May 3, 2023, at which time the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any Bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered.
The Work under this Project generally consists of removal of existing pavements by milling, placement of bituminous concrete pavement, and associated pavement, and miscellaneous work, including but not limited to utility adjustments, and line striping, within certain public rights of way and properties of the City of Williamsburg and related governmental agencies. This project will be locally administered by the City of Williamsburg.
Bid Documents may be examined at the offices of the Director of Public Works, City of Williamsburg, located at 401 Lafayette Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Bid Documents may be obtained from the City of Williamsburg website http://www.williamsburgva.gov. Neither the Owner nor any of its representatives shall be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including addenda, obtained from any other source.
This project shall be constructed in accordance with: the plans; the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications, dated 2020; and the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Standards, dated 2016 and revised May 2020; the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (Revision 2), dated September 1, 2019; the 2009 edition of the MUTCD; the 2011 Virginia Supplement to the MUTCD; and Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions and Special Provision Copied Notes in this contract.
All work shall be completed within 90 days of Notice to Proceed.
