I. PURPOSE

It is the intent of this solicitation to secure through competitive sealed bidding, the addition of new laundromat buildings at three different WRHA apartment complexes (Mimosa Woods Apartments at 141 Mimosa Dr., Sylvia Brown Apartments at 200 New Hope Rd. , & Katherine Circle Apartments at 321 Dunning St.) in the City of Williamsburg, Virginia.

II. SCOPE OF WORK

The City of Williamsburg Department of Public Works, hereafter known as the City, acting as agent for the Williamsburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (WRHA), hereafter known as the Owner, is seeking bids from contractors for the addition of new laundromat buildings at three different WRHA apartment complexes in the City of Williamsburg, Virginia. The work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, transportation, supervision or other facilities, duties or incidentals necessary for execution and completion of the Project in compliance with the Contract Documents.

Qualifications:
The Owner may make such reasonable investigations as deemed proper and necessary to determine the ability of the bidder/offeror to perform the services/furnish the goods and the bidder/offeror shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as may be requested. The Owner reserves the right to inspect bidder’s/offeror’s physical facilities prior to award to satisfy questions regarding the bidder’s/offeror’s capabilities. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any bid/proposal if the evidence submitted by, or investigations of, such bidder/offeror fails to satisfy the Owner that such bidder/offeror is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to provide the services and/or furnish the goods contemplated therein.
