This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a SOLE SOURCE firm fixed price FFP Contract using FAR part 12 and 13 Procedures.

Supply Needed: USMC Drum Major Mace (2) For the United States Marine Corps Drum & Bugle Corps.

Drum Major Mace Quantity: 2

• Brass: head, steel spun in two sections and polished.


• The title UNITED STATES MARINE DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS in raised lettering, fitted individually to the dome section the head.


• Twenty-four raised scrolls, each cast in brass, silver plated, each deep engraved with officially approved Campaign accreditation, individually fitted to the dome section of the head.


• The US Marine Drum & Bugle Corps side badge and a replication of the Iwo Jima Memorial. Must be modelled in 3-dimensional form from Computer Aided Graphics (CAD), casted in brass, and fitted on the lower section of the head.


• The head is topped with the United States Marine Corps badge in 3-dimensional form, cast in brass, finished in gold and silver plate, fitted horizontally on the dome section.


• The head is Fitted to real Malacca cane with handmade collar, ferrule, and plaited chain.


• Collar, ferrule, plaited chain, to be done in heavy gold plate 2.5 microns.


• Collar to be deep engraved with the motto THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE MARINES.


• One Mace to be exactly 63 inches in overall length. Second mace to be 59 inches in overall length.

The Government intends to Award on a Sole Source Basis to: Ammo & Company LTD. Unit 17 Gravelly Industrial Park Birmingham, West Midlands B24 8 HZ, United Kingdom, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1
