The Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District in coordination with Fort Walker, former (Fort A.P. Hill) invites you to “Industry Day” for potential upcoming timber sale opportunities on 22 September 2023. Interested parties will meet at the Installation Visitors Control Center at the North Gate along Rt. 301 at 9:00 a.m. for temporary badging for access and a brief overview of the proposed timber harvest sale area(s). Following will be a field tour of potential timber harvest sale area(s). Transportation throughout will not be provided, each attendee should accommodate with their own travel arrangements. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch and necessary safety gear are strongly recommended, be prepared for a portion of the day in the woods.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate in discussions as they pertain to potential upcoming timber harvest sale area(s) and provide feedback with any issues or concerns. The form of any potential upcoming sale likely would be by way of sealed bids on a unit price basis. If following this Industry Day results in a future Invitation for Bid (IFB) notice will be sent to interested parties.
