Description View Changes
THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT 0001 TO RFQ 36C25923Q0661 0001 IS TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ASKED BY VENDORS.

PLEASE SEE RESPONSES BELOW AND THE AMENDMENT TO THE SOW DATED 07.17.2023.

Q1. Do you prefer a multiple camera unit for maximum security/safety or a single camera unit?Â
A1. Multiple Cameras ideally for maximum coverage. See SOW for more information

Q2. Do you want past performance to validate system up-times, maintenance, customer service, reliability, etc.?
A2. This is not necessary. Price and technical capabilities will be used as the basis of award.

Q3. Is the VA interested in strengthening its security monitoring with deterrence methods using these security and safety IoT devices, like strobe lights, flood lights, and two-way talkdown speakers that can be automatically or manually deployed?
A1. Yes, strobes, flood lights and speakers would be ideal. See SOW for more information

Q4. Does VA plan to stream live video 24/7 or does it expect to receive automated alerts when MSUs are triggered?
A4. No live 24/7 streaming pre-defined SMS/email notifications and web/app based viewing of recordings and live feed. Just need notification for motion events.
Â
Q5. Would VA be open to a demo prior to a contract award to compare systems?Â
A5. Not currently. Please provide quotes and product information about your system that meets the minimum characteristics outlined in SOW.

Q6. Does VA expect to integrate the mobile security systems into its existing monitoring network and VMS? Or does the VA expect these systems to operate autonomously?            Â
A6. System will operate autonomously
