This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time.
This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the interest and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and any other small business concerns able to meet the requirements listed below.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking sources to provide 550 tons of 23A Stonecrete/Gravel for the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center located at 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 212321 Construction Sand and Gravel Mining, and the Business Size Standard is 500 Employees.
Contractor will be required to coordinate deliveries with Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center facility personnel prior to any deliveries being made. The product will need to be dispersed over a large area (parking lot) by the delivery driver to the best of their ability and not just dumped into large piles. VA facility grounds staff will complete the final grading of the product with onsite equipment. The product can be delivered all in one day or over the course of a five-day time period. The deliveries must occur between the hours of 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
Contractors that are interested in meeting this requirement are asked to provide a response via the email address listed below. Please provide the following information in your response:
(1) Business Name and Address
(2) GSA Contract Number (if applicable)
(3) Point of Contact Name, Phone Number and E-mail Address
(4) SAM Unique Entity ID (UEI)
(5) Type of Small Business: Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8a, HUBZone, Woman-Owned, etc.
(6) A concern that is not the actual producer/miner of the gravel shall provide the name of the producer/miner and its size standard.

All contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://sam.gov.
Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102.
Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for SDVOSB or VOSB status must be registered with the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification Program (VetCert).
