Description

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command – Fort Belvoir (MICC-FB) requests your proposal for the requirement titled “Historic Weapons Refurbishment”. ” The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Service Contract aimed to fully refurbish select historic weapons from Alpha Company, 4/3 U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard) This contract is for the refurbishment of seven 1776 Brown Bess Muskets, five M1 Garands, three 1853 Enfield rifles, one Harpers Ferry Rifle, one M1919A6, one M60 machine gun, one 1851 Navy and one 1860 New Army Colt Revolver, one 1898 Krag, four Mississippi rifles, five 1863 Springfield rifles, one 1873 trapdoor rifle, five 1795 Springfield rifles, one harpers ferry flintlock pistol, and four 1903 Springfield Rifles to a “safe and reliable” firing condition and improve safety.



The 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) identified a requirement to maintain the safe and reliable operation of historical weapons. These weapons are critical to The Old Guard mission representing the United States Army and the United States of America.
