Description

This pre-solicitation notice serves as a synopsis and is posted in accordance with FAR subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This is not a solicitation. Vendors shall not submit quotes until the solicitation is posted to www.SAM.gov.



The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) has the following requirements:



DoDEA requires an interactive technology for heart rate monitors that (1) allow teachers to build a student wellness portfolio delivering heart rate data daily-to-yearly and (2) provide performance metrics that correlate to academic and social and emotional growth. The technology must be able to meet DoD’s information technology, cybersecurity, and privacy requirements and the monitors must be able to be durable for use in secondary level indoor and outdoor physical education (PE) classes.



The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339920 (Sporting and Athletic Goods Manufacturing), and the applicable PSC is 7810 (Athletic and Sporting Equipment). Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting a quote.



DoDEA intends to issue solicitation No. HE125424Q0017 in support of this requirement. This will be a commercial procurement in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). This requirement will be competed as a 100% small business set-aside. The anticipated award contract type is a Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The period of performance will consist of (1)12-month base period and (4) 12-month option periods.



The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 20 March 2024 and an anticipated award date is on or about 3 June 2024.
