The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime at Norfolk Naval Shipyard is issuing this Sources Sought as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for the below items. Philadelphia Gear (Cage Code 17454) is the OEM of the identified coupling assembly. To the best of the Government’s knowledge, Philadelphia Gear is the only known approved material source supply at this time.

The coupling assembly is used to transmit torque and horsepower from the low-pressure turbine to the propulsion frame to the main engine.
