This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the interest and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), other small business concerns, and large business capable of meeting the requirements listed below.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking sources to provide a Bauer Compressors VAC8-E3 breathing air compressor for the Battle Creek VA Medical Center located at 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333912 Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing, and the Business Size Standard is 1,000 Employees.
The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is seeking sources to provide one (1) Bauer Compressors Model VAC8-E3 three-stage, air-cooled, pressure lubrication high pressure compressor with the following specifications (alternate products are not acceptable):
Maximum working pressure: 6000 psi
Application working pressure: TBD
Charging Rate: 8.4 SCFM
Tolerance on capacity +/- 5%.
Motor horsepower: 7.5
Electrical Requirements: 230/3/60
Electrical classification: NEMA 4
Air purification: P2 B-SECURUS (67,000 cu ft before cartridge changeout is required)
Zero loss automatic condensate drain system

Additional information:
All contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://sam.gov.
Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102.
Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for SDVOSB or VOSB status must be registered with the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification Program (VetCert).
