Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION and SOURCES SOUGHT for Essenz Perfusion Systems & Maintenance B+4. This is in preparation for a 5-year, single award, BPA or IDIQ.
Contractors that deem themselves capable of meeting the requirement shall provide the below information to Brooke Hansen, Contracting Officer, at Brooke.Hansen@va.gov no-later-than Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 4:30PM, EDT, referencing (36C25024Q0508). Responses shall include: (1) Business Name and Address, (2) GSA Contract Number and expiration date, if applicable (3) Point of Contact Name, Phone Number and E-mail Address (4) DUNS and NAICS code (5) Business Size SMALL or LARGE (6) Type of Small Business (if applicable): service disabled veteran owned, veteran owned small business, 8a, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc. (7) A concern that is not a manufacturer of the supply shall provide the manufacturers name and size standard (8) Country of Origin. If the concern is the manufacture and the sole distributor, please provide documentation to that effect.

LTC Charles S Kettles VA Medical Center, located at 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI, 48105, is requesting the purchase of three LivaNova Essenz Perfusion Systems brand name or equal, to fully support patient care in the OR for cardiothoracic surgeries.
The devices and services to be supplied include:
Three (3) Essenz Perfusion Systems brand name or equal these devices are the primary purchase and are used in direct patient care. The following salient characteristics are required:
o State-of-the-art heart-lung machine with an embedded Patient Monitor to implement patient care strategies
o Accurate sensing technologies include In-Line Blood Monitor, for data-driven, intra-operative decision making
o Quality indicators to support the clinician by monitoring continuously, including trend monitoring and detection of deviations
o Appropriate equations for GDP calculation are utilized to provide insightful clinical data
o Mast mounted pumps to allow the clinician to optimize the position of the disposables to minimize prime volumes
o One knob will only control one per pump
o The Perfusion monitor separate from cockpit (so critical real time data will never be obstructed by different viewing menus)
o Automated sensor checks confirm the software and hardware are functioning properly before going on bypass
o The cockpit must provide color and audible alarms directing attention to appropriate alarm conditions by level of priority
Seamless integration with OR external devices and hospital information systems
Connectivity options to meet the needs of the hospitals IT infrastructure as well as the clinical documentation requirements, including standard HL7 protocol
Advanced Installation for all devices installation to include the ability for the devices to upload pertinent medical data directly to the patient file.
Three (3) Essenz Focus Maintain Service Contracts for 5-year terms (each) brand name or equal this service contract is for annual preventive maintenance that includes regular software upgrades and feature releases.
One (1) additional centrifugal pump drive brand name or equal this additional pump is for patient safety in case a pump fails during a procedure.
One (1) additional control unit this additional control unit is for patient safety and goes hand-in-hand with the additional pump.
