Cloud-Based Work Automation Platform (Data Entry/Workflow Management/Dashboard Capability)



THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.



The National Guard Bureau is releasing this Request for Information (RFI) to seek feedback from industry to assist the Government to understand current capabilities available related to Software as a Service (SaaS) collaborative work management tools focusing on the following capabilities:




  • Project and Portfolio Management. Management of schedules and resources with the ability to identify conflicts and risks and the ability to manage risks at multiple levels. Support for Agile and Waterfall processes and the ability to support different views including Gannt, Kanban board, and calendar. The ability to identify and display relationships and dependencies between projects across portfolios and the identification and management of blockers and dependencies between teams.

  • Workflow Automation. The ability to design multi step workflows to trigger specific tasks based on user input or conditional criteria (e.g. budget execution, timeline exceeded, etc.) and generate actions including email alerts, collaboration tool alerts (e.g. Teams, Slack) and other actions with the ability to support multiple parent and child tasks.

  • Configurable Dashboard Views. User generation of dashboards based on information contained within the system. Dashboard should support a variety of chart formats and support filtering of data by users.

  • Web Forms/User Level Form Creation. The no-code creation of forms for data input from users. Form layouts should be easily reconfigurable to support different use cases and support input in multiple methods (e.g. free text, radio buttons, drop down selections, etc.). Input to data forms should not require additional user licenses.

  • The ability to enter data either via form or a spreadsheet-style view.

  • The ability to import and export data via open, secure Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) via manual and automated processes. The ability to export data in open (pdf, csv) formats.

  • User training available via online computer based and/or video training.

  • Multiple workspaces. The ability to support segmented workspaces and control access to workspaces and data based on attributes (e.g. group membership).

  • Single Sign On. Integration capability with external identity management platforms, including Microsoft Active Directory.

  • Web interface. All capabilities should be accessible via modern web browsers with no software installed on user systems. Capability to publish dashboards and forms via web uniform resource locator (URL) with no additional license requirement.

  • The availability/inclusion of customizable pre-built templates for common business use cases such as equipment inventory management, training records, purchase approval, awards/human resources management, etc. Indicate whether these are available with the base license or via community spaces, or if additional licensing is required.

  • Business process management (BPM). Model, execute, monitor, and support the optimization of business processes.

  • Department of Defense Impact Level 4+ Provisional Authorization (PA). If the solution is currently within the approval process pipeline identify the projected timeline for approval.



NGB is issuing this RFI for planning purposes and for assistance in determining current capabilities within this product area. Interested parties may submit a written response outlining their current capabilities to meet the requirements outlined above. The written response should provide sufficient detail to allow for an assessment by the Government without the need for additional information. Responses to this RFI are not quotes upon which the NGB can issue a contract. Therefore, the Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses to this RFI.

The Government will not assume that any of the information provided by a respondent is proprietary unless it is conspicuously marked on this basis. Moreover, the Government does not assume any duty to contact a respondent and inquire whether any unmarked information submitted in response to this notice is proprietary.
