SYNOPSIS: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), also referred to as the Government, intends to post an unrestricted Firm Fixed Price (FFP) solicitation to SAM.gov, for Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA), to purchase and store an inventory of Titanium Ingots. The anticipated date of solicitation issuance in SAM.gov is on or around May 25, 2023.
Requirement Description: The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) intends to solicit an inventory of approximately 2,968.63 metric tons (MT) of aerospace grade titanium ingots. The Contractor shall provide and deliver titanium (Ti) ingots for a period of performance of 24 months. Total estimated dollar value is $54,828,500. The performance period is a 24-month period of performance, to include FAR 52.217-8 and FAR 52.217-9.
PSC: 9650, the NAICS code for this action is 331491 – Nonferrous Metal (except Copper and Aluminum) Rolling, Drawing, and Extruding, with a size standard of 750 employees. This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. Defense Contracting Service Office – Fort Belvoir (DSCO-F) Defense Logistics Agency Strategic Materials (DLASM) requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Systems for Award Management (SAM).
