The purpose of this Quick Quote is for the purchase and delivery of medication storage lock boxes. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and other incidentals necessary to furnish and deliver the boxes in accordance with the minimum requirements described within this QQ. The Commonwealth of Virginia and all-over the United States communities are experiencing an opioid overdose epidemic. The epidemic affects all racial and ethnic groups in cities, suburbs, small towns, and rural areas. The rate of overdosing has risen substantially along with deaths attributed to the use of opioids. Hanover County Community Services Board CSB has made available and distributed 798 medication storage lock boxes filled with resources and information to the public. These boxes have proven to be one of the most effective prevention strategies that impact the availably of narcotics. Funding for the boxes is through the State Opioid Grant SOR.
