  • Summary:Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Renovate HVAC System – Regional Automotive Center at Tidewater Community College, Chesapeake Campus, Project Code # 260-B2260-013, located in Chesapeake, Virginia. The project is generally comprised of a replacement of existing mechanical equipment at the Regional Automotive Center (RAC), a 30,690 sf technical education center built in 2008. The scope includes new rooftop units, modification to existing exhaust systems and fans, DDC controls revisions and upgrades, natural gas system upgrades, roofing modifications, roof equipment screen walls, and electrical systems modifications. Sealed bids will be received at Virginia Community College System, Attention: Ms. Sibyl Roberts, 300 Arboretum Place, Suite 200, Richmond, Virginia 23236, Telephone (804) 819-4918. PLEASE NOTE: For shipping/mailing, use Suite 390; for hand delivery, use Suite 200. The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer, on December 20, 2022. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud beginning at 2:00 P.M., on December 21, 2022, at the same location. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of bid amount. The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Tidewater Community College, Chesapeake Campus, 600 Innovation Drive, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320, in the Regional Automotive Center, Conference Room 102. Attendance shall be optional for those submitting a bid.
