    The intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain services of a qualified contractors to be readily available to provide electrical services at County owned or leased facilities and non-County owned facilities. Specific jobs are not outlined or described herein. During the contract period, the successful Contractor shall be available for any and all projects including, but not be limited to, adding additional circuits, replacing panels and sub-panels, adding dedicated lines and grounds, install and troubleshoot critical power systems such as Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Generators and Transfer Switches and replacing motors, and other electrical work required by the County. Work may require the demolition or alteration of existing systems; in which case, all material and debris shall be cleaned up and removed from site by the Contractor. The Contractor should have a flexible organization capable of performing multiple assignments simultaneously for emergency and non-emergency calls. The County intends to award between one (1) and three (3) contracts to qualified contractors that have the capability to provide the full scope of services identified in this IFB. These contracts will have a one (1) year base term with up to three (3) additional one (1) year renewal periods.
    The contracts resulting for this IFB will generally be utilized to accomplish small to medium sized, Projects with a typical Task Order value within the range of $2,000-$50,000. However, Task orders in the $1,000 range are also common. Task Orders are not expected to exceed $250,000.
    For the purposes of these Contracts, a Loudoun County “Purchase Order” is described as a “Task Order”. The County makes no additional guarantee as to amount of Work each contractor will be awarded under the contracts resulting from this Invitation for Bid.
