Summary:The offeror will provide Limited Transportation Services for Albemarle County Public School Department of Transportation to transport select students to and from public schools in the Charlottesville/Albemarle Area. Offeror will provide cost using ACPS fleet and related equipment with option for providing their own fleet and own equipment.
Transportation services are requested for the following students:
• Select SPED students who live outside of the County of Albemarle to and from ACPS schools.
• Select SPED students who live inside of the County of Albemarle, but who are attending a school outside of their home-based zoned school.
• Non-SPED home-to-school Open rotes and or Career Learning Centers (CLC)
2023-2024 School Year Data
• Provide coverage for Special Need routes. Currently 62 AM routes with an average route time of 61 minutes, 34 Mid-day routes with an average time of 34 minutes and 66 PM routes with an average route time of 54 minutes.
• Middle/High School single routes only (Currently-21 Routes) served by same driver pool.
• Afterschool Shuttles-Combined with regular route assignments (Currently 8)
• Career Learning Centers (CLC) Transport: A minimum of 9 units providing transportation between High Schools
