Description:

James City County intends to implement the reinforcement of the existing second floor system of the JCC Marina Building based on the contract documents prepared by TAM Consultants entitled: “JCC Marina Floor Reinforcement” and attached hereto. This project will involve the installation of a new beam line down the center of the lower-level Parks and Recreation office space along with modifications to the existing bar joists. Installation of the new steel beam line shall also include, but not limited to, construction of concrete foundations, installation of steel posts, and temporary structural shoring of the second-floor system. The floor reinforcement improvements also include other isolated repairs of rusting bar joists and metal decking in the main office area and a separate storage area. All new steel work shall be primed and finish painted to match existing. Per Building Code requirements, Agent 1 and Agent 2 Special inspection services will be completed under a separate third-party contract with the Owner.

The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, and other appurtenances and/or incidentals required, and any other work required as specified in the Contract Documents, shown on the Drawings, or otherwise required to complete the work of this contract in accordance with the Contract Plan/Drawings and Specifications.
