5/25/2023: Correction to period of performance for the current extension below. The period of performance of the extension of the current contract is 9 months.
*************************************************************************************************************************************************
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to issue a sole source modification to an existing contract with VISTA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to continue Expeditionary Support Services (ESS). The Government has determined that VISTA is the only source reasonably available to satisfy this requirement. A change in provider would result in both substantial duplication of costs and an extended period of time in which NGA would not be provided with CONUS and OCONUS support necessary for Expeditionary Operations Office (DOE). Therefore, no competition is being sought at this time.
The sole source modification to the existing contract will provide NGA with tailored DOE support that will continue to support the Expeditionary Operations Office's focus—to plan, deploy, and sustain GEOINT capabilities for military and civilian expeditionary and crisis operations. The period of performance of the extension of the current contract will be for 3 months with two 3-month options.
This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions and is not a request for competitive proposals. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contract Specialist no later than 1:00 pm EST on Tuesday May 30. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Points of contact for this requirement are Tamara George, Contracting Specialist, at Tamara.S.George@nga.mil or 571-571-8776 and Erica Hessler, Contracting Officer at Hessler Erika.S.Hessler@nga.mil or 571-557-3211.
